About Us

The Dunedin 60 Plus Club is a voluntary, not for profit organisation with membership open to retired or semi-retired people. Most of the club's activities are during the daytime.

The role of the club is to promote friendship, fellowship and fun, and to encourage members to remain active and contributing members of the total community.

Dunedin 60 Plus is independent of any political party, trade union, religion, or any other retired persons organisations.

Meet the executive

President  - Moira Ingham

My husband John and I have lived in Dunedin for quite a few years now, together with our son and daughter and their respective families.

We were both looking to meet new people, when we retired as our working years were not in Dunedin.

We looked around and Dunedin 60+ Club was recommended to us and quite honestly, we haven't looked back since.  We have met so many friends and joined in with a variety of activities that keep us busy each week.  I believe the Club has something for everyone and is a great way of meeting new friends.  This is my third term of being the President and it's been a wonderful experience.  I have loved listening to both members and speakers talk about their interests and passion in life and have learned so much from them.

Secretary - William Leith

Len joined the Club with Shirley some 10 years ago and in 2017 become its Hon. Sec. This coincided with my retirement from full time employment which lastly, was as the manager of the Contact Energy Call Centre in Dunedin. I am part of Sixties Entertainers, Social Committee, occasional Monday Walker and Culture and Coffee member. The 60 Plus Club is a wonderful organisation and has the best members. Were a fortunate group all round.
