Seniors Photography Group Notices

Aims of the Photographic Group

Socialisation and networking

The group will provide a chance for members to connect with like-minded individuals who share an interest in photography. It’s an opportunity to make new friends, collaborate on projects and exchange ideas.

Skill development and improvement

While it is not intended to provide training in photography, participating in the photography group will help members enhance their photography skills and learn from each other through critiques of their photos and discussions.

Guidance from other photographers

Other photographers will offer guidance, helping members to improve their photography and/or photo development. Ideally users will have "point and shoot", mirrorless or DSLR cameras and internet access. Many of our users may also have a range of photo development software.

Opportunities to showcase and publish work

Members can exhibit their photos on our website Dunedin 60 Plus Club website monthly.

In summary, the aim of the club is to enrich seniors’ lives by fostering creativity, social connections and skill development through the joy of photography. We meet monthly at a local café and then spend time photographing in the area.
